To Consolidate the victory of the people, the safety of the people of the country must be ensured – CPB 

Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) President Md Shah Alam and General Secretary Ruhin Hossain Prince in a statement today 5 August 2024 referred to the resignation of the Sheikh Hasina led government today as the downfall of dictatorship and the victory of the people in the united struggle of the students along with all the democratic, secular, left political forces agitating. They urged for the formation of an interim government should be based on discussions and opinions from all agitating Democratic patriotic forces. In the statement, the leaders said that the countrymen should be aware so that this victory of the people does not flow to different tracks. And the movement must continue until full democratic rights are achieved. The statement urged everyone to play a role in maintaining peace, rule of law and discipline across the country, protecting the lives and property of people including rights of religious and ethnic minorities. In the statement, the leaders and activists have been called upon to stand by the people to protect the lives and property of the people.
