Statement by the “10 Mehr” Group on the Criminal Aggression of the United States Against Iran’s Peaceful Nuclear Facilities

In the early hours of Sunday, June 22, 2025, the United States government, under the leadership of the notorious war criminal Donald Trump, once again betrayed its word and trampled upon international norms. Despite deceitful declarations of allowing diplomacy for two-week window, the United States — a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council — launched a flagrant military assault on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities, thereby committing a gross violation of the UN Charter, international laws, and the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).

The events of this morning are both appalling and disgraceful, and they will have enduring consequences. Every member of the international community ought to feel profound alarm at such an illegal, perilous, and criminal act perpetrated by a nuclear-armed power that ostensibly claims to safeguard global peace. The presence of such warmongers at the helm of a military superpower, who openly disregard all norms of international law and recklessly ignite the flames of regional and even global conflict, reveals the dark reality behind much of the so-called Western commitment to “civilization” and “human rights.” It is an emerging order of the jungle, where brute power tramples legality wherever imperial interests are deemed endangered.

According to the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran:

“Following the barbaric Zionist aggression of recent days, Iran’s nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan were savagely attacked at dawn today — an act that stands in brazen violation of international law and the NPT. Tragically, this took place under the indifferent gaze — and perhaps silent complicity — of the International Atomic Energy Agency. The American president himself, through his social media platform, publicly claimed responsibility for the bombing of these facilities, which are under continuous inspection by the IAEA in accordance with safeguard agreements and the NPT. The international community must not remain silent in the face of this lawless aggression, and must support Iran in defending its rightful and inalienable rights.”

We, the “10Mehr” Group, vehemently condemn this heinous act — carried out in concert with the genocidal Israeli regime, which for over a week has been conducting an unjustified and illegal assault on our homeland under the protection and approval of the United States. This criminal aggression unambiguously exposes America’s deep complicity in Israel’s crimes throughout the region: from the ongoing genocide in Palestine to the relentless bombing of civilians elsewhere. The United States’ catastrophic actions will not go unanswered.

Today, the Iranian people are more awakened than ever to the sinister aims of American hegemony in the region and the world. They will no longer be deceived by the empty myths of “human rights” and “democracy” — fictions that invariably arrive aboard American bombers, bringing only bloodshed and ruin to innocent nations and the destruction of sovereign infrastructure in flagrant defiance of all legal and moral norms.

Let it be known: the destruction of nuclear sites can never erase the scientific knowledge and achievements that have taken root within our country. Neither Trump nor any other aggressor can extinguish the will of a nation united and resolute. Today, the people of Iran stand more alive, more united, and more determined than ever before in confronting the aggression of the United States and its regional accomplice — the child-killing Zionist regime.

And to the disgrace of a superpower led by a deceitful man such as Donald Trump, who, after launching such an assault, dares to proclaim, “Now is the time for peace” — we respond: your actions herald not peace, but war. And if war it is, then our people are prepared. With this reckless and foolish act, Trump has rendered both himself and the U.S. forces in the region vulnerable and exposed. As our Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declared:

“The Islamic Republic of Iran affirms its full right to defend itself against the U.S. military aggression and the heinous crimes of this rogue regime, and to protect its national security and interests with all available means. The world must not forget: it was the United States that, in the midst of a diplomatic process, betrayed diplomacy, supported the war crimes of the genocidal and lawless Israeli regime, and has now, in concert with it, launched a dangerous war against Iran.”
