President Maduro: US Behind Destabilizing Plans Against Progressive Governments in Latin America (+Pegasus)

The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, revealed who is behind the destabilizing plans against Venezuela, and the left and progressive movements in Latin America.

This Monday, September 30, during the broadcast of his weekly television program Con Maduro+, the national leader warned that behind the plans against Venezuela, the president of Colombia Gustavo Petro and the left-wing governments of the region are the United States, paramilitary forces and the far-right.

“They have set a deadline for Petro’s overthrow, because the United States, the far-right and the Colombian paramilitaries need Petro out of the Presidency by 2025 so they can use Colombia one more time in the conspiracy against the Bolivarian Revolution,” the head of state denounced.

In light of the existence of these plans, he referred to the scandal surrounding the “Pegasus” espionage plot, which he recalled was used by former Colombian President Iván Duque to spy on Venezuela and Colombia.

He said that Iván Duque paid for the Israeli made spyware with drug money, equivalent to more than 11 million dollars. President Maduro mentioned that although Duque is not president, “ he continues to use Pegasus” to spy.

He said that this software shows that those who want to bring violence to Venezuela are in alliance with the Colombian and Venezuelan far-right to attack President Petro with the support of the United States.

“They used this equipment to prepare terrorist operations against Venezuela and they continue to use it, because behind all of this there is a plot, a conspiracy against the Bolivarian Revolution,” the president warned.

President Maduro asked the Colombian people not to allow a coup d’état to be perpetrated, adding that it is a United States made conspiracy.
